Sunflower Festival FAQ

Q: WILL ALL OF THE RIDES BE OPEN AT THIS EVENT?

​Some of our attractions, such as the Ferris Wheel and the Scrambler, are ‘Coming Soon’ - but our farm favorites such as the Go-Karts, Kiddie Coaster, Zipline, and Farm Trains are all open.

Q: DO ANY ACTIVITIES COST EXTRA?

Some of our activities are free to enjoy such as the bounce pillow and zip-line. Other activities are extra. This would include things like the Hawes Express T rain, Go-Karts, and Silver Spur Roller Coaster.

Q: WHAT DOES THE TICKET PRICE ACTUALLY COVER?

​General Admission, Access to the Sunflower & Zinna Patch, Access to Vendors and Food Trucks, Children's Playground, and Zip Line. Some rides and attractions will be available for an extra charge.

Q. CAN I BUY MORE THAN ONE STEM?

Yes, two size vases will be available for purchase to fill with your picked flowers.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THIS EVENT?

​Sunscreen! Appropriate footwear! (If you're picking flowers, please remember this is a farm.) Also, wear loose-fitting clothes. Bottled water. Your ID, some spending money (how much? It’s up to you! We’ll have craft vendors and rides available for purchase!) Your cell phone! (Take pictures to share and be sure to tag us on Instagram @hawesfarms!)

Q: HOW LONG IS THE EVENT?

​Gates open at 10 am and close at 5 pm - at that time we’ll be asking everyone to exit the farm and get to their next destinations/homes safely.

​Q: CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO THE SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL?

​Absolutely! The Sunflower Festival at Historic Hawes Farms welcomes guests of all ages.  Children under 3 are free!
